This recap covers the Power BI User Group meeting, held on November 13, 2019 in Los Angeles. It was a great meeting. If you made it you know, if you missed it, we missed you!

Our Speakers

We had great speakers and they were well received. Manish Bansal of Fifth Square presented, “Strategic thinking for executive dashboards (or operational dashboards)”. He opened a lot of eyes with his approach to creating usable SMART dashboards and ways to evaluate if you got it right.

The review of new features in the latest release such as the decomposition tree was impressive. The tip on creating your own data connector for resources you may use that doesn’t have a canned one for Power BI was cool.

Dan Edwards of Crowe LLC came again and gave us an overview of the latest Power Platform events and gave us some good tips for how to enable some of the new features. Don’t forget to review the latest update’s new features!
